The bible is God’s holy written word given to instruct and guide us in this present world where, in our mortal bodies, we can neither see nor hear the full glorious, majesty of God. The bible comprises a presentation (though in different order) of the Tanakh (the canonical collection of Jewish holy scripture), which Christians reference as the Old Testament, and the 27 “books” referenced as the New Testament. The Old Testament points to and prophesies about the life of Jesus Christ, and the New Testament presents the life of Jesus Christ, the developmental period of the early Christian faith, and the end times of this world when Christ will return. Altogether, “It is sixty-six books … written between 1446 B.C. & 90 A.D. … an integrated message system from outside our time and space domain.” ― Chuck Missler

According to the bible itself:

“Forever, O LORD, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.” Psalm 119:89

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

“Is not my word like fire, declares the LORD, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Jeremiah 23:29

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”  Hebrews 4:12
